- Horizontal Directional Bore
Directional boring, commonly called horizontal directional drilling or HDD, is a steerable trenchless method of installing underground pipe, conduit, or cable in a shallow arc along a prescribed bore path by using a surface-launched drilling rig, with minimal impact on the surrounding area.

- Utility Trenching
Trenches are often created to install underground infrastructure or utilities (such as gas mains, water mains or telephone lines), or later to access these installations.
Utilities, such as oil, gas, water, sewerage, electricity and telecommunications, are all transported long distances below ground where terrain can vary from soil to hard rock and environments can encompass urban areas, highways or cross country, on land or offshore.
